Morning or afternoon, whichever light you prefer
A private session, built around your group
Experience
The hour matters more than the place
Kyoto's famous streets are photographed a million times a year, and the difference between an ordinary shot and a good one is almost entirely timing and position. Early morning gives you empty lanes; late afternoon gives you the light on the pagoda. Your photographer works here and plans the session around whichever you choose.
Shot while walking
This is not a posed studio session. You walk between locations and the photographs happen along the way, which is why they come out looking like a morning in Kyoto rather than a series of portraits. If you freeze in front of a camera, this format solves most of it.
The corners that are not on the map
Between the well-known approaches there are lanes, gates, stairways and doorways that photograph beautifully and have no crowds in front of them. Local photographers know where they are, and getting to them is most of what you are paying for.
What arrives afterwards
Around fifty high-resolution images, professionally edited, delivered after the session. Kimono is not included and is not arranged for you — if you want to be photographed in one, hire it from a rental shop before the meeting time and come dressed.
